Next stop in the Flathead Lake region was a great little in-town trail system near Foys Lake, just near Kalispell. The trails were cruisy and fun with some nice overlooks. And the best part was that we made a new friend, Jason, another guy formerly from Canada who lives down here now!
Jason originally hails from Alberta and got to Montana via the state of Georgia. He landed a new job up here and loves the lifestyle in this area. And he shreds!
We had a hot day with a big haze of smoke from a burn on the west side of Flathead Lake. Met a few other friendly hikers and runners on the trails, and saw a ton of tame deer. The amount of wild animals around Glacier NP and the Flathead area is pretty astonishing…
Finished up the ride with a refreshing swim in Foys Lake! It has that emerald blue colour that a lot of these mountain lakes have. They say that the water up here is the cleanest in the whole world.
